What a pain and palliative care specialist does
Radiation and chemotherapy can make the mouth and throat very sore. A pain and palliative care specialist makes sure pain is properly controlled, so you can keep eating, sleeping and getting through treatment.
Palliative care is not only for the end of life. It means extra support at any stage, for the body and the mind, for you and your family.
